World Series Miss

WWE was in St. Louis and my friend told me that he had tickets for game 3 of the World Series if I wanted to go. I said of course since it was the day after our show and my day off. Hell yeah I want to go to the world series. It's on the must do list before I die. So I called my airline and got my flight changed a day later and I was all set. The only problem was it was supposed to rain all day for game 3. I really didn't think they'd cancel the game because when was the last time they cancelled a world series game. It just doesn't happen. Well with my luck it rains all day and my friend (Tom) and I go to the game and wait for 2 hours in the freezing cold ass rain because the game got delayed. Finally after standing in the freezing cold and getting rained on while drinking beers (of course) the game got cancelled and was going to be made up on Friday. I was pissed because I already had to change my flight and pay a fee and now I was going to have to try to scalp tickets for game 4 which was on Thursday then go to game 3 on Friday. The only problem was the weather had a 90% chance of raining on Thursday and if that game got postponed it wouldn't go on till Saturday and I had to be in Milwaukee on Sunday.

So I had a decision to make...Do I go home and say screw it I'm not going to stand in the cold and rain again just to see two teams I really don't care about play in the World Series. Or do I change my plane ticket again, try and buy a ticket for Thursdays game which might be cancelled which if it is cancelled will be on Saturday and then I wouldn't be able to go because I have to be in Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon. I ended up going home to LA where I could relax for a couple of days and get some arrands done.

Well what happens, they end up playing on Thursday with no rain cancellations and St. Louis picks up another win. Then on the day I had a ticket for they play and actually win the fu#king World Series. So if I would've stayed I would've been able to see St. Louis win the World Series. Crazy how things work or don't work for that matter.

I was really pissed when I first heard this happen. But after thinking about it I really didn't like either team and if I go to a World Series I'd want to see teams I really care about. Like Cleveland or LA or maybe even a boston/ny fued. I could care less about a St. Louis/ Detriot game. No offense to people that love those teams but they aren't my teams. So I'm okay with missing that opportunity. Don't get me wrong there's still a bad taste in my mouth about it because I know the parties were insane in St. Louis that night.
