St. Paddy's Day '07
I spent my St. Patrick's Day exactly like I did last year. Hammmered at SUlly's in Louisville. I was in Louisville training with OVW. OVW had a show in Cincinnati so we didn't get to Louisville till 12:30am which is perfect because if you didn't know Louisville bar's are open till 4AM. You gotta love that.
As we arrived at Sully's Mizfest began. Now for peps that haven't read my columns there was a Mizfest and a Jamesfest back when I used to live in Louisville. We'd all go out and call it the Fest. Jamesfest was fun but Mizfest dominated.
As soon as we walked into Sully's The Ultimate Warrior theme song blasted through the speakers. This starts Mizfest. Then the managers thought it'd be a good idea to give me a bottle of alcohol and stand on the bar and pour drinks into everyone's mouths. I always have a blast whenever girls wearing white shirts want some because sometimes I "accidently" miss the mouth and wet the t-shirt. Hey can you blame me. :)
After being on the bar for awhile I somehow ended up behind the bar pouring drinks for all my friends. It was hilarious I felt like I owned the place. It reminded me back on my MTV days where I'd go to a bar for an appearance and they'd let me do whatever I wanted. We decided to have a throwing whatever you can get your hands on fight. It started with ice but me being the crazy lush I am grabbed the pop sprayer and owned everyone. Pop, water, whatever was in the sprayer was going everywhere. Normally, you'd get thrown out for something like that but the managers know about the fest. Plus it's St. Paddy's Day you kind of have to expect it.
As the night went on everyone was getting sloppy. The worst is when you come with a bunch of people and you have to gather them up to go home. Also, finding a sober driver is nearly impossible. We found one and as we were going to the car the group was going every which way. We finally got everyone but I somehow angered one of the girls (shocking right) So she ran off, me being the nice guy I am had to go get her but by the time we came back the ride was gone. So we ended up taking a 30 dollar cab home. Yes, I had a car down there but I don't think it would've been in my best interest to drive. Not a fan of drinking and driving.
All in all this St. Patrick's Day was a lot better then last year seeing that everyone made it home safely and had a blast. Last year that wasn't the case we won't go into details but let's just say it was good day that everyone is healthy and the day is back to being fun rather then dreaded. I hope everyone else had a good day as well.
