4th annual Mizfest Thanksgiving party bus
This year is the 4th annual Mizfest. Every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving I take my friends from High School out on a limo bus to party all over the city of Cleveland. Every year seems to get bigger and bigger the first one started off with about 15 of us in a nice limo bus. Now I had to get the biggest party bus in Cleveland to hold 50 of us, yes, I said 50 and it's not an exaggeration. This bus was a converted school bus equipped with bar and stripper pole.
We start off at Blue Moose around 9PM which is your typical bar. I brought my belt because these are the friends that I used to sit and watch every WWE pay per view with growing up. They've been my biggest supporters so to bring this home and for them to hold it and see it was an amazing moment for me. Everyone was taking pics and holding it up. My friends are the shiznit. We got on the bus and headed to my Uncle's bar, Sip n Post, where I usually do an autograph signing while my friends get slammed. Luckily, it was my uncle's bar because all we had was beer on the bus and I didn't realize that Liqour stores stop selling hard alcohol at 9PM (honestly who gets hard alcohol before 9PM) and I've been on a Jack kick so I got a bottle of Jack and Jose Cuervo from there which wasn't the greatest idea but it sounded good at the time.
Next we went to the Normandy High School reunion bar, Fox and Hound's. I feel like everyone has one of these, a bar where everyone from your high school goes on the day before thanksgiving. Any way we get there and they were at capacity plus there was a line around the place. I walked up and said is it really at capacity? The door guy recognized me and said THE MIZ are you kidding how many do you have with you? He probably was thinking 4 or 5 not 50. I told him 50. He goes are you kidding I said look at my party bus hell no I'm not kidding. Then he waved all my friends in. How funny is that? Talk about getting the hook up at Fox n Hounds in Parma. I don't think the peps in line were to happy as they saw 50 people walk in eventhough they were at capacity but hey I come home a couple times a year it's gotta be big. Then I decided it'd be a good idea to buy 50 shots for all my friends so I think the Fox and Hounds were pretty happy with me. I literally saw my entire high school at this bar and I'm one of those people that really liked high school so it was great seeing everyone.
We headed downtown this is the longest drive which usually lasts about 20 minutes and this is where everything gets crazy. Every year this happens. This year it got really bad. Now I'm going to tell you what I remember because I'm about 7 shots deep in Cuervo around 5 beers and lots of jack so here we go. Oh yeah my 18 year old cousin, Kendal along with 2 of her friends are on the bus and I was supposed to look over them (I'm not a good babysitter at all). Also my mom decided to come as well but my parents are fun as hell so she partied with everyone. I do remember making an announcement that nobody better touch my cousin or her friends or my mom. Knowing my friends they would any way. So on the drive down I remember taking shots putting on Rage against Machine and having a mosh pit in the back of the bus where the stripper pole was. I'm talking everyone had 2 beers shook them up and as the song got to it's high point beer and bodies were going everywhere we ended up breaking the stripper pole. Yeah we are a bunch of corn bred meatheads. I ended up shirtless and soaked by the time we got downtown.
I don't remember too much of Blind Pig except I saw Nicky, you may remember him from the Spirit Squad if ur a wrestling fan. Don't remember the conversation because as I said I was out of my mind by this point.
My favorite part of the night is the ride home because everyone is either pissing in the back of the bus, throwing up out the window, passed out, lost them, or still drinking. Guess which one I was....still drinking bitches. Probably not a good idea seeing just about every year of Mizfest I end up throwing up. I think everyone's thrown up at least once out of our group. Even peps who never throw up do. It's that kind of night.
The rest of the night was hazy I do remember my mom driving me home and me puking outside of the car. How proud my mother must have been to see her 27 year old son throwing up all over broadview rd. Hey it's Mizfest....be good. Be bad. BE MIZ!!!!
