Moved from LA to Atlanta
This is the reason I haven't updated my site in awhile. Yes I made the move from LA to Atlanta. Now some people would fly but I chose to take a nice long drive in a Penske truck with a trailer on the back for my Ford Explorer Sport. Now I thought it was going to be nice, easy, and relaxing. Boy was I wrong. The trip all started when I was looking for a trailer to tow on the back of my Ford Explorer Sport. I went to U Haul to rent one and they told me that the only car they can't put a trailer on the back is a Ford Explorer. I just about sh#t myself. I mean come on. So now I had to rent a big ass truck and tow my Ford Explorer because no other company had trailer's to put on the back of my SUV. In dollars it's about $1500 more to rent a truck. How pissed was I?
I went to Penske because they had the best deal. Packed all my stuff by myself except for 3 things and I was off on the road. Google maps said it would take a day and 17 hours to get to Atlanta non-stop. I thought I could make it without sleeping. However 12 hours into the drive I was getting real tired. I stopped to get some gas and at every stop I always check the truck to make sure everything is all good. Well, on this particular check I heard a ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. One of my tires on the trailer was leaking air. So I had to call the Penske help line and they came out and fixed it. That put me about an 1 1/2 behind but it was all good I was out on the road and I had my first story.
I realized there was no way I could go with out sleeping so I took a 5 hour nap in Texas. Believe it or not I slept comfortably in the Penske. After the nap I returned to the open road. I didn't hit any traffic at all the entire time which was nice. Plus the Penske could really haul I was going 90 just about the entire time. At around midnight I see flashing lights in my rearview. You guessed I was getting pulled over. What you don't know is that my lisense is broken in half and I can't find the other piece so I'm thinking I'm going to be in some trouble. The cop comes over to my window and says do you know why I pulled you over. Honestly, can a cop come up with a better question then that? I feel like every time I get pulled over that's the question they always ask. And I think everyone says the same answer....nope. He had me step out of the truck and go over by his car. I'm still wondering what the hell was going on. Finally he goes take a look at your truck and see if there's anything wrong with it. I look and realize none of my lights are working except for the front. So this entire time I've been driving nobody could see me from the back. Talk about dangerous. Luckily my hazards worked and I pulled off to a gas station to call Penske's help line for the second time this trip. The cop let me go by the way and was really nice. Any way, the help line said the guy would be there in an 1 1/2 hours. That sucks. The guy gets there checks all the fuses and nothing. Starts taking my dash board apart still didn't find anything. 5 hours later still nothing. I'm like listen in about an hour the sun will come up I'm going to drive with my hazards on till then because I can't be sitting here all night. Talk about a waste of time. I'm still okay though because I'm moving and I'm excited about it.
About 4 hours later in Louisana the Penske started making a wierd sound. I pulled off and guess what. The Trailer had another flat tire except this time all the rubber peeled off. I called the Penske help line for the third time this trip and this time I'm a little pissed. The help line said they could have someone there in an 1 1/2. I was pissed by this time because with all the problems with the Penske it's set me back about 9 hours. How pissed would you be? Not only was I tired and sore because the seat I had to drive in was straight up but now I wasn't going to make it to Atlanta by the time I wanted.
After 3 calls to the Penske Help line, driving about 12 hours with my hazards on, sleeping about 10 hours, I finally made it to my destination. Only it was 5 AM and the apartment complex didn't open for another 4 hours. So I had to sleep my last night in the Penske. It took me 3 days to get to McDonough which is 20 minutes outside ATL. I got to my apartment which is bad ass and unpacked.
So here I am in McDonough, GA and I must say I was a little hesitant about this place being in the sticks and all. Especially coming from LA but so far it's been a lot of fun. Nick (my roomate, first one eliminated from Tough Enough) and I have set our place up and it looks great.
Oh yeah, why the hell are you moving to GA some of you might be asking?????? Well, WWE has a new developmental system out here. Can't talk too much about it but I'll keep ya'll informed.
