Mardi Gras Party at the Playboy Mansion and Metal Skool
Mizfits, I went to the Mardi Gras Playboy Party at the Mansion and as
always it didn't disappoint. I haven't been to the Mansion in 2 years so
I was hoping this party was everything I remembered it to be. The parties
always have a theme that you have to dress for. As I thought of Mardi
Gras and the one time I went to the one in New Orleans I remembered that I
wore the crappiest jeans and T shirt I could find because Bourbon St. was
so dirty you didn't want to get your good clothes messed up. There was no
way I was going to wear that. I figured I'd wear a nice button up that
looked a bit festive.
You have to take a bus up to the Mansion. This is a great opportunity to
talk to hot girls before they are wasted so they remember how nice you
were on the way up. I met a couple girls who were really nice. Alfonso
Rivera was on the bus and as soon as he saw me he was like Miz what's up.
We used to play on a charity basketball team together so it's nice to see
old friends.
We finally got up to the mansion and the party was amazing. There was
about a 30:1 ratio of girls to guys. Not only that but most of the girls
were dressed in sexy, skimpy outfits. If that wasn't enough they had the
best food I've ever tasted catered and free top of the shelf drinks. What
more can a guy ask for? I saw Shawn White which popped me because...well
he's bad ass on the slopes. I actually talked to him for a bit at the end
of the party about my Vail trip and how terrible I am at snowboarding. He
was really cool.
I made my way down and saw the Beauty and the Geek girls. CCG and
JennyLee I've already met but there was one other girl that I knew was on
the show and couldn't remember her name so I walked up and said "hi I'm
Mike" and she said "I'm on beauty and the geek." I swear it went just
like that. So I then said I'm Mike and she said it again. I finally got
Meagan out of her after a couple tries the conversation didn't get much
better after that though she was really pretty. JennyLee, the one that
had a fling on the show with Nate, was all buddy buddy with Frankie Munez.
It was funny to watch seeing that she's like 5'9" and he's 5'5" He came
up to her chest. Perfect for him I guess.
I met up with Ryan Cabrera and his gang where we ended up going shot for
shot which is always fun. We gave one of our friends the tour because it
was his first time.
My favorite part of the night had to be when Kendra's Mom stopped me and
said that I was her favorite cast member on the Real World. That she's
watched me for years on the show. I told her how I saw the episode on
Girls Next Door where Hef came down to her house to visit with her. Hef
is amazing he has his girl's mother partying at the playboy mansion. I was
partying with Kendra's mom. How great is that?
All in all I had a blast at the mansion. How could I not. One thing I
didn't see which I normally do is people hooking up in the grotto. I
actually didn't even go by it so it might of been happening.
Gotta tell ya about this one too Mizfits. I went to a concert called Metal Skool. These guy's sell out the Key Club every Monday and they are the best 80's cover band I've ever seen. I met up with Lauren and Audrina (the Hills) at Rainbow Room before heading over. When we got there Ryan Cabrera had a table next to the
stage. It was a prime location. The best part about it was Mr. Belding
(saved by the bell) was at the table and as soon as I walked up he was
like "Mike how have you been?" I can't believed he remembered me. We
talked for a bit. Ryan introduced me to Tony Romo (QB Dallas Cowboys) who
was also at the table. I popped for that one as well because the Browns
are always my team but I always have two teams to watch because Browns
always suck. So this year I chose Dallas because I liked all the drama
with TO and Bledsoe. Fun team to watch.
The band goes on and the singer kept coming over to our table. Hell, he
even through the mic to us so we could sing. Then he asked Romo and
Belding to come on stage. Belding went right up but Romo was hesitant. I
almost had to shove him to go up. Hell, I would've ran up there seeing
that I'm a huge 80's fan. They sang Journey and it was awesome. The
audience started singing the Saved by the Bell theme. So much fun.
After the concert we all went to Ryan's house in the hills and somehow I
ended up in the music room with the bassist of lifehouse and the guitarist
of Savage Garden. Then I ended up requesting songs for them to play and
i'd sing. Now if anyone has ever heard my voice I have the worst voice
ever. But not this night. I was drunk enough to think I was amazing. I
wish I had a camera to record it but I didn't.
