Dippin Dots 1st Annual charity Ping Pong Tournament

When I heard about this charity event I instantly thought not only will I be helping the St. Jude's Children's Hospital but there will be Ping Pong and Dippin Dots can't beat that. As I arrived I walked the green carpet and let everyone know that I was walking away with the Golden Paddle. Then they told me that it was a doubles tournament which I insisted didn't matter.

I walked into the club and the set up was awesome they had 4 tables going and some of the people were really good. Intimidated I was not seeing I'm like Forrest Gump at Ping Pong. I met up with Josh Henderson who told me I better pray I wasn't going up against him. I laughed and said the Golden Paddle was mine eventhough I still didn't have a partner.

About 20 minutes before the tournament was about to start they found me a partner, Randy Spelling (Son of Aaron Spelling creator of 90201, Melrose Place). I've known Randy for awhile so I went up and talked to him. He told me he wasn't that good at ping pong and I thought damn I'm going to lose this thing. So we went outside where they had practice tables and started getting a feel for playing doubles. It sucks because one player can't just dominate. You have to switch every time you hit the ball. As we were practicing I noticed that Randy was full of it because he was really good and I'm like Forrest Gump so we were going to make a pretty dominant team.

Their were teams from Mad TV, Desperate Housewives, Heros, What About Brian, Movie Stars, Ect. I was excited about meeting the guys from Heros (Ando and The Hasian for those that watch) seeing that I'm a huge fan. I was hoping we'd get to play them because they looked pretty good.

Our first game was up against two actors which we killed. This is where we started to build our confidence. My friend Josh got eliminated in the first round which I had to make fun of him for that. He's really good but if you have a bad partner you're kinda screwed. The next game was up against two comedians which one of the guys was probably the best player there and the other never played before. So what do we do? We play towards their weakness. Seeing that I was talking smack the entire time I felt bad for a little bit. However, cutting promos for cameras is what I do. Half the time I was calling out the Heros guys.

We won that game and whoever won between the Heros and the actresses would play us. I love how The Heros side had all the easy teams and we had to go through the rough ones but that was okay because The Heros won. So the semi finals was set. Heros vs. Randy and The Miz

This game was going to be fun because Ando and The Hasian were talking sh#t as well. I like it when people get into it. The crowd was all over the game. Every time someone missed or over shot they'd go OHHH and AHHH. We kept this game entertaining. This was the first time that Randy and I weren't in the lead the entire time. Their were some really great Volley's too. In the end we beat them by 2 and went on to the finals against the What about Brian team. They were really good as well but not good enough because in the end Randy and I won the Golden Paddles. So in charity events I've been undefeated. I was on the team that won the dodgeball tournament for EGPAF and now Randy and I won the Golden Paddles for St. Jude's. Talk about dominance. :)

Talk about a fun charity event and we raised well over 50,000 dollars for St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. That's what it's all about not some Golden Paddles.
