Philippines Trip

This was my first overseas tour with WWE so I was pretty stoked to have the opportunity to be on this trip. I've never been to the Philippines. The only thing I really know about it is it's where the Thrilla in Manila took place with Frazier and Ali.

I quickly found out that it was a 14 hour flight from LA. Talk about a sucky flight especially cause they played The Devil Wears Prada as one of the movies. At least it helped me sleep.

Arriving there was awesome there were so many Mizfits waiting for pictures and autographs. It was insane seeing that it was 5 AM. Who gets up that early? They do! The bus ride to the hotel was crazy. First off, this was my first time getting a police escort and I honestly thought I was going to die. This bus was weaving through cars like nothing could damage it. I couldn't believe we made it to the hotel alive.

We had a day off to check places out. I got to go with a camera all over the philippines so you can check it out on wwe.com. I went to this food market where it was 85 degrees and meat was out on pieces of wood just sitting waiting for people to buy it. It was disgusting there's no way it'd sell like that in the USA. I decided to play Joe Rogan and see if anyone would eat a pigs eyeball for 600 pesos (10 dollars) Finally this guy came up and took the slimy eyeball and ate it like he did it everyday. I couldn't believe my eyes he didn't make a face or anything. After this we decided to go to a mall seeing that I was going to get sick just seeing this. We went to a knockoff mall where you could buy louis Vuiton bags for $10. Yeah I bought quite a bit for presents. (they will never know).

The shows were amazing. It was surreal being in the same arena that Ali and Frazier fought in. The crowd was bad ass. You could tell they didn't get a lot of wrestling out there and they appreciated everything we did. Being in a sold out arena always has a good ora about it.

All in all the philippines was an amazing experience. Except for the 5.8 earthquake. By the way, that was the first earthquake I've ever felt and I lived in LA for 3 years. Crazy huh?
